Goodness, it’s been over a year since I’ve posted here. And what a year it has been, hasn’t it?
If you have lost loved ones, you have my sincere condolences. For the rest of us, we have been lucky, although it might ot have felt that way during lockdowns, right?
All cooped up and not meeting people socially seems to have affected people in different ways. I am please to announce that for me at least, I took advantage of all that spare time to finish off my novel, A Light Shines in Darkness. It will be released on 1st November, 2021, which is Toussaint, or All Saints’ Day, a fitting tribute to Blessed Angelina of Marsciano.
Here is the blurb:
Inspired by the life of Blessed Angelina of Marsciano.
Perugia, the Papal States, 1375: Noblewoman Angelina Angioballi has sworn a vow of chastity, to continue serving the poor and avoid a loveless political marriage that is the plight of other women in her life.
When the mercenary Lord of Perugia, Biordo Michelotti, learns of Angelina’s wealth, he means to make her his wife, and when she refuses he seeks vengeance with devastating consequences.
As her charitable mission grows in popularity, Angelina seeks the support of the Church, but even the Holy See is not immune from corruption.
Just how much will Angelian’s faith be tested as she tries to fulfil her true calling?
I can also share with you my lovely cover:

In other news, my partner has moved over here to the south of France to live, and we are moving house next month, to somewhere with a proper garden, and a POOL! I’m so excited, despite everything being in boxes. (By ‘everything’, I mean all my books, obvs!) It’ll be amazing to be able to have our families and friends to stay for holidays.
This weekend is a bank holiday in the UK, so do have a happy time with your friends and families if that’s where you live. Here in France, it’s the last weekend before La Rentrée, the day when the schools go back after their two-month-long summer break. I anticipate long traffic jams in both countries!
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
