EMH Editorial Services

In 2016, I started EMH Editorial Services, a freelance editing and proofreading enterprise that would enable me to quit my day job in engineering and allow me to live a more fulfilling creative life.

Just two years later, and with the help of the amazing writing friends I have made along my journey, I have achieved that dream.

I specialise in developmental editing, copy editing and proofreading for fiction authors across a wide variety of genres: romance (including erotica), historical, contemporary, thrillers, science fiction, women’s fiction, and more.

Being an indie author myself, I appreciate how hard it can be to have someone criticise your work. That is why I approach each project with the utmost care and consideration, bringing out the very best of your writing. My suggestions and comments are to help clarify your words, not condemn them.

Please contact us to discuss your editing needs.

Client Testimonials

Ian Gregoire

“Going through all the revisions she made was a learning experience that has helped me identify areas where my writing can be improved. The upshot of the job she did is that I now have a better written story on my hands, and I will subsequently become a better writer as a result.”

Kate Bendelow

“I wanted someone to go through my manuscript with a fine tooth comb and check for errors before I submitted it to agents. Liz did just that and I’m really pleased with the results. I can definitely recommend her.”

Louise Cullen
Canelo Digital Publishing

“I booked Liz to do a proofread for a late-running commercial fiction project and she delivered the completed job a day early. She followed my instructions precisely and her work was accurate, considered and of a high standard. She was also very pleasant to deal with. I’ll certainly be keen to work with her in future. Thanks again, Liz!”

Kate Stork

“Liz was fast, clear, detailed and personable in proofreading my short fiction. I am definitely going to use her services again. I would highly recommend her to others working in the short story or flash fiction format.”
